Responsive fix, testing testing
Jan 11th, 2026
TESTING TESTING... Fonts are looking better, responsiveness is getting there... Slowly but surely, I trod through mud. Lately, I have been exploring a few of my origami books and I've made a cat and a dinosaur. The cat was folded in tandem with Katie and we named her Bosco. (stay tuned for images i am working on a template image grid!!)
One vivid memory I have from childhood is a trip to Chicago to visit my grandma, Cindi. We walked down 95th street to a used book store and looked through towers and bins of books. I got a book of origami that had slips of colored square paper in the back. I remember sitting at her kitchen table with the sun spilling in through the windows, folding the paper so precisely. I can see her fingers pressing at the crease and her corners not quite lining up like mine. I learned how to fold a balloon and it absolutely blew my mind that you could inflate it. I committed the folds to memory and have made that balloon consistently throughout my life. I do not have that book anymore(oh how I wish I did!). I have collected other origami books throughout the years; I flip through them every once in a while and pick up where I left off. I've always loved the feel of paper! ALSO: Ive always loved following directions! Give me some signals and an instruction booklet and I will execute that plan to a T!
Small update on site and life!
Jan 8th, 2026
The only content i've been working on lately is this website! I am a couple steps closer to going live and I think its important to establish some habits, even when there is no visual update! I have two rolls of film to develop so I hope to add content to the film section next. I am currently reading a Tom Robbins book that was gifted to me for Christmas by my wonderful girlfriend: Still Life as a Woodpecker. This is the second book im reading by this author and I am thoroughly enjoying his style. There are not many authors that made me want to read more (other than book series hello Harry Potter.) but Tom Robbins is one I can see myself coming back to. As for my intentions for this year... This website is up there and I feel okay about my progress. I have been journalling and doing qi gong most days. I will give myself a respectable grade: B. Brushing up on html and css has been just as frustrating as I remember in college! Very finnicky but SO satisfying when it works as intended. My professor, Oliver, would hear our frustrations and simply take our computer, enter a couple of lines of code, and hand it back to us fixed. Thanks Oliver! I learned a lot from him and that class and I want to express my gratitude. At the same time.. I also wish that my debugging skills were a bit more refined. Alas! I digress... Youtube and google come in handy; I learn now what I failed to learn then.
I will now attempt to attach an image and a youtube link to the end of this post. I leave you with one Qigong video from my favorite monk on youtube and an image of Still Life as a Woodpecker
2026 Intentions and goals
Jan 6th, 2026
It is a new year and my aspirations are at an all time high. The aspirations come easy, the *doing*... not so much
My social media intake has ballooned over the years and it is time for me to set some limits and begin creating new
habits. This website is my project to enforce that idea and give me an outlet for creation outside of social media.
My intention is to create more and consume less; digitally and physically. I want to put more of myself out into the
world whether that be my creations, thoughts, or opinions. My hobbies and interests will be displayed here and updated
throughout 2026 (and beyond!). This will include: photography and cameras, bikes, kites, books, 3d modeling and
printing projects, plants, sewing, coffee, and anything else that I find myself dedicating time to.
I will be updating this website weekly. Check back for updates on my life!
