Penguin Pebbles

Look at my things!

I love cameras and photography. They were a part of my life growing up through my mother. She always had a camera in her hand! She would say, "just one more!", while rattling off another 4 or 5. I got my first camera as a gift for 8th grade graduation (sadly lost to time) and I have been taking photos and collecting cameras ever since!

Here are some photos I have taken! Look!

In college we had a few assignments to create an image without the use of a camera. Our professor took us into the darkroom, pulled out a piece of light sensitive paper and started screaming into the middle of it. He put the paper into the developer and we all watched an image appear. A sort of amorphic black and gray blob in the middle where the paper was verbally assaulted. I ended up burning old art works and using the ashes to create a piece. He was one of my favorite professors! Shane, you were great!

Today, I bring you a couple of scannergrams. From Man Ray to the modern day. Pictured: Trimmings from my scindapsus pictus and string of hearts, and my hand.
